Family Owned and operated, Cardinal Sign Corporation was founded in 1967 as a full service custom sign company serving Southeastern Virginia and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. President, Stan Stollings relocated to Virginia Beach in 1982 to work for Cardinal Sign Corporation. He graduated from Georgia State University in 1975 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He has over 32 years of experience in the sign industry. Stan is a past President of the Virginia Sign Association, past President of the Southern States Sign Council, and past Board Member of the National Electric Sign Association, now the ISA.
Vice President of Operations, Installation, and Service, Greg Stollings graduated from Old Dominion University in 1982 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He began his career with Cardinal Sign Corporation in 1979 by first working in the painting and plastic departments. He handled the well-known national Dollar Tree account for over 25 years by project managing over 250 stores each year. With over 35 years’ experience in the sign industry, Greg now runs our installation and service department.
Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Jerry Phelps, Jr. graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. During his 27 years of service to Cardinal Sign Corporation, he has grossed over $20,000,000.00 in sales.
Permit Coordinator, Christa Pickrell joined the family business in 1992 working as an executive office assistant. In 1998, she was promoted into the office administrator position for the next five years. Christa received her MBA from Averett University in 2001. Since 2003, she has held the position of Permit Coordinator, expediting over 4,500 zoning, building and sign permits in over 35 different municipalities over an 11 year period.
